The Center for Arab and Mediterranean Music (CMAM) organize the 5th International Meeting of Francophone Musicology (Épistemuse) on May 12 and 13, 2022 at the Ennejma Ezzahra Palace. Many musicologists and researchers coming from different countries will be present and will discuss the circulation of musical knowledge in multicultural contexts.
On the occasion of the Arabic Music Day and under the patronage of the Minister of Cultural Affairs Dr. Hayet Guettat Guermazi the Center for Arab and Mediterranean Music - Ennejma Ezzahra has the honor to invite you to the celebration of the 90th year of the first Arab music congress monday, March 28, 2022 at Ennejma Ezzahra Palace in Sidi Bou Said at 9am. With the presentation of the concert of Nawbat Al-saika a CMAM production directed by Makram Lansari at 6pm.
The Epistemuse is an IRN (International Research Network) project that aims to found the first international network of researchers working on the history, historiography and epistemology of musicology, such as it is (and was) practiced in the French-speaking space. The partners of the project cover few countries where musicology is practiced in French language within institutional structures in Belgium, France, Lebanon, Quebec and Tunisia.
The University of Tunis and the Higher Institute of Music in Tunis, in partnership with the Center for Arab and Mediterranean Music - Ennejma Ezzahra-, are organizing an international congress about “Tunisian Musical research: A Historical Approach”, on 16, 17 and 18 November 2021. The congress will be held remotely via Zoom platform.
