Apart from some great classics of the repertoire, solo or duo, Alia Sellami and Haythem Hedhiri recreate works with colorful and exotic colors. Traveling from one world to another, they will interpret pieces with multiple influences. Some come from the known French Orientalist movement, while others offer rhythms from Spain or take us to the south of Italy. A special tribute is also paid to Tunisia through an original composition of W.Kheligenes.

Clifford Borg is best known for his piano miniatures, which are recognisable by his traditional classical technique imbued with jazz/pop sensibilities. Clifford’s music comprises “stimulating, delicate pieces that ooze sentiment and energy applied in varying juxtaposed measures,” in Times of Malta music critic Michael Bugeja’s words. Eric Montfort, also a music critic for the Times of Malta, stated, “What is striking about Borg is how he manages to roll so many influences and make them his own.”

This project was designed around the idea of fusioning Latino standards and Arabic music, with innovative arrangement, lyrics and interpretation. "Between Tunis and Havana" is a universal message around the cultural mixing and the poetic and artistic aesthetics of two musical patterns.
